The SG III is an advanced self-contained (has its own power source) wireless security system specifically designed for the RV, Toy Hauler, Fifth Wheel, and Travel Trailer industries. The SG III was thoughtfully designed to have all of the essential elements of a home security system combined to satify the unique needs of this niche group of users. The SG III is an a la' carte system. If you would like to have your back bedroom or possibly your tow vehicle protected, you would install a wireless motion detector. We at Desert Security Products will work with you to design an appropriate system to your specific needs. We also completely program the system to your specifications. Tools required to install our system include: one flat tip screw driver, one phillips screw driver and on a rare occasion, a drill. Installation time: anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour. This is extremely easy to install!
The SG III is the "brains" of the operation with some additional benefits:
- The 124db siren is designed to ensure a most unplesant greeting for an intruder. We also designed a "pigtail" that allows the addition of two hardwired external sirens.
- 12Volt battery (3.2ah) that will last up to five months on a single charge. Unbelieveable but true, the current draw is less than .5 milli amps. This allows for extended storage capabilities without the need for an external power source. When the SGIII is low on voltage, it will give you a verbal warning.
- Built in Motion Detector will detect interior motion and can be programmed into "home mode". This essentially makes the motion detector "blind" while the occupant is free to move inside without setting off the alarm. This allows you to sleep with the security system on. If someone were to open a contacted door while sleeping the system will go into alarm status. Makes sleeping in a rest area a little less nerve racking.
System Polling: The SG III constantly "polls" all of programmed devices including remote key fobs. If there is a low battery condition, SG III will display specifically which wireless device needs attention and verbally tell you which device is in need of a new battery. Side note: Batteries should last 3-5 years minimum.
Wireless Motion Detectors
These devices have been installed in rear bedrooms, front living spaces, basement storage, tow vehicles and even storage sheds at parks. The only limitations are distance (about 100 feet) and imagination. Our wireless motion detectors are dual zone and can be programmed to "home mode". Again, you will be able to arm the system and yet walk inside your coach at the same time.
